Whether your wedding is small and intimate or a larger affair, the Mill is the perfect venue for you. We have designed it to be the equivalent of a marquee (admittedly a rather stunning one and with its own fires!) which you might have in your own garden. But here you don’t need more space, to move your green house, hire loos, or even buy a garden (if you live in a flat). You hire the Mill for the day and create your own perfect wedding. We have some great, well known and trusted suppliers who can make organising your big day a breeze. But that is up to you, you may prefer to do it yourself.
Whilst we want to be as flexible as possible there are a few restrictions we have to add to safeguard the building and our licenses. We do ask that you use Tom’s Bespoke Bartending Company if you want a Pay-Bar and for serving evening drinks. To ensure we comply with NFDC sound regulations as part of our entertainment license if you would like to have a DJ we would ask you to use We Perform. If you prefer to have a band, you are more than welcome to, however we need them to be a professional band as they understand sound engineering. For the same reasons we do have outside noise restrictions (outlined in the Important Information). We also ask you to select your caterer from our extensive list. Other than that, if it doesn’t damage the building or the grounds, it is pretty much okay. Although we did have to draw a line under having a goat at one wedding breakfast! If you think your idea might be a bit “off the wall’ please run it by us first.
The Mill can hold 100 guests for the ceremony and a sit down wedding breakfast. The Mill can accommodate up to 140 guests for a more informal style wedding or if you want more evening guests.
